IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE USA DANCE CHAPTER #6074 DANCE SCHEDULE

Dear Members and Friends,

USA Dance Chapter #6074 will not be holding it’s dances on the First Saturday as we have been doing for years. We will instead be holding our monthly dances on the Third Saturday of each month. Therefore the first USA Dance for the year 2015 will be January 17th.

In addition the Thursday night dances classes have been suspended for the month of January. The reason is the unavailability of an instructor.   If we are able we will resume the classes in February. Any changes to that will be sent out as quickly as possible to allow you to make plans. Please tell anyone you know about these changes.

Dear Members and Friends,

I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of a new year. The first month of this year brings us some special dance opportunities. Attached please find flyers for two special dance events this month. First is BDC's Dance for Justice on 16 January. The next event is American Legion's Post 71 (in North Augusta) Turn Back Time Dance Night on 30 January.  Post 71 will also host a dance on the last Friday of February and March.

Our Chapter dance this month will be on Saturday 17 January at American Legion Post 63 in Augusta on Milledge Road.  Our monthly dance will now be held on the third Saturday to try and avoid scheduling conflicts.

Due to work requirements, I will be stepping down as chapter president and the end of this month.  Until the board makes a final decision, the chapter will be in the competent and dedicated hands of our VP, Edwina Hutchinson, and past-president and District 8 coordinator, John White along with the rest of our board.  I thank all of you for your support over the past 15 months and hope to continue serving the chapter as a board member.

I look forward to seeing all of you on the dance floor soon.
Take care and keep dancing,

Bob

Dear Members and Friends,

Your 3rd Saturday USA Dance will be this Saturday 17 Jan from 7:30 until 11PM.  We normally eat between 7:30 and 8PM.  From 8 until 8:30 there will be a salsa lesson.  Music will be played until 11PM.

Please feel free to bring a covered dish, snacks or dips, or something sweet to eat.  Even if you don’t dance that much the meal is worth the price of admission.

The salsa lesson will concentrate on  beginner level with something for every level.  If you are a better dancer then please come and help out.  The newest dancer will learn a few steps in Salsa a true Latin favorite.

The board meets at 6:30 before the dance (same location).  Feel free to attend the board meeting to have input or to discuss any concerns you might have.  There may be an opening for a new board member.  If interested contact me or just attend the meeting.

Our dance will be held at the American Legion 90 Milledge Rd Augusta Ga.
